Tsoroev Rashid - handcrafted artisanal watches.

My name is Tsoroev Rashid. I’ am 22 years old. I’ am from Russia. I started my watchmaking way when I was 15. When I firstly came in the fine watches shop I was very impressed and immediately understand what I must to do.  Since then I never stopped to interest in watches. At the beginning I was exploring watches through magazines and internet, then, after 10-12 months, interest for movements was came. I started to buy and collect old pocket watches and wrist watches and disassemble and assemble them and sometimes, when I was have tools, I tried to repair them.
                After four years of intensive exploring watches I decided to make my first watch and it was a school watch. I never was making watches before and I decided to start from something simple. I created my school watch in 4.5 months, it took a long time because I’ am a student and I was have possibility to work on it only at holidays. In process of making this watch I realized how to work with material. Because all elements for school watch I was made entirely by hand, like case, lugs, dial, hands and buckle, process of making this parts was quite hard because i don’ t have a special tools for that, like machining equipment, fine files, polishing materials etc. But I said to myself if I started that I must to finish that and I must to finish it anyway. I showed my school watch at my favorite watch forum and some famous watchmakers in Russia and to my surprisingly it was have a good feedback. After that I’ am realized that I must to produce my own watches and I started to work on my first collection.
                The idea for this watch was come at the moment of exploring modern watches. When I look at modern watches I understand that big companies and even independent watchmakers starting to forget about a traditional watchmaking. So I decided to make a watch which will have a traditional elements and modern at the same time. I think the watch must to be dressy and have its own style and personality, but not to be boring and over conservative.
                I was learning a lot of history of watchmaking and it was have some impact on me while making this watch. I decided to make time-only watch with classic seconds counter at six o’clock. This watch is based on the most reliable movement ever which is ETA 6498. It features a stainless steel 42 mm case which is a 11.2 mm high and sand blasted and gold plated dial which is also available with silver plating. Hour marks are made of steel and polished by diamond paste and blued, seconds counter also made of steel with satin finishing. Hands for watch were made entirely by hand without using CNC machines and then blued. It also features leather strap and my own handmade stainless steel buckle.  I did a very big work to ensure that dial is legible and right combination of metals and colors is achieved. This watch was made with idea to make not only a dressy watch but also as an elegant looking “jeans watch”. I wanted to make this watch available and the  price is 750$ for gold plated dial version and 700$ for silver plated. To purchase this watch client have to put a down payment, it is 400$ for gold plated dial version and 350$ for silver plated dial version. When manufacturing will be finished client have to put a down other payment part including delivery cost and then watch will be delivered. I like the silver piece, good work. It would be interesting to see more about the hands and indexes, and more details on the watch. You need a macro lens.

The watch looks great and clean. I like especially the interface between the lug and the case and the design of the hands. I think to improve the composition on the dial if you think the dial is to clear. You can add some black marker for the minutes between the main index.

But sadly, 42 mm is not for my small wrist.

Your watches are beautiful, very classy thanks to the simplicity and originality of its elements ... Like many, the diameter of 42 mm for a 3 hands watch seems a bit too big but it's hard to do otherwise with a unitary movement... Very good job !

i don t think, dial is pure, not need any additionnal marking....

C'est assez joli (rien de péjoratif dans le mot joli). Un positionnement "jeans watch", ça veut dire casual ? Mais casual chic quand même.

Je n'ai pas bien saisi cette histoire de cadran plaqué argent ou or... Il y a une plus-value sur le prix ?

le model cadran plaqué or et un peu plus cher que celui plaqué argent

Moi j'aime beaucoup le model plaqué or, si il avait aussi le mouvement plaqué or je me serait laissé tenté je pense

J'aime bien la simplicité du cran, la petite seconde entourée, le cadran argent


Je n'aime pas le diamètre trop petit pour moi, à 44 mm j'aurais peut être craqué 


Les aiguilles en forme de "cuillère à café" c'est spécial mais ça participe au charme

Hello Jice! No, plating didn't adds a big on the price of watch. It is my first watch  and i wanted to make it available as much as possible. Jeans watch means that you can wear it both with jeans and suit.

I want to share with you photos of Arrow watches with a silver-plated dial.

The quality of phogtrafies is not the best, I still can’t buy a good camera because I still have to buy a lot of tools and equipment, but I tried to take good photos as best I could)

Good job, the watches are very beautiful , especially on the last photos posted (white dial). The ideal would be to release a 38 mm version (think of the chicken cuffs too ).

Thank you for your kind words Theo16! I must to say that my wrist is quite small (17cm) but despite that watch fits and looks nice, imo. But anyway i also think about smaller case and i hope i will make it in the future.

I did not pay attention to the horns which do not seem very long. I also have a 42mm watch and it goes very well on my wrist (16 cm) but the dial opening is smaller, that's why I was doubtful  .

Good remark Theo. Yes, dial opening makes a sense in the how the watch looks, smaller dial opening makes a watch look smaller, bigger dial opening makes a watch look bigger (look at the Handmade 1 from GF). I will try to make some wrist shots and i hope you will be able to have and idea of how the watch looks on the wrist.

nice design of dial and hands but for me the hands are too long

hour hand should not touch the indexes and same for the minute hand that should
be shortened in order to just cover half of the indexes.. My opinion

but I repeat : nice watch really !
