| This is a rare Longines manual-wind chronometer. The case, applied markers and hour hands are 18k gold. The movement is a superb 17 jewel cal. 27 O S movement. The "27" refers to the dimension of the movement (27mm), the "O" denotes ore (i.e. gold), and the "S" denotes sweep second. The movement is a highly finished and adjusted version of the well-known cal. 12.68ZS. This particular movement dates to 1955, and, thanks to the helpful people at the Longines Museum, I can add that the watch itself was first invoiced in October of 1959. In 1955, there were only 73 Longines wristwatches certified as Chronometers, which underlines how few of these were made. Regards, Tony C. |

| Hi Tony,
This watch is very nice and mint. Is it a new old stock sample or was it restaured?
What's the case diameter w/o crown?
Regards. |

| Thank you, Guillaume.
It was used, but must have been handled very carefully by its previous owner, as it is in mint condition. I acquired it from a Japanese dealer who I know well. It is the only one of this model that I have seen for sale. There must be others, but so few were made, that they rarely appear on the open market.
It is 36mm (excluding crown).
Regards,

| Truly a must have, I love it. On top of that, the diameter case is clearly in line with something modern and classical. Congratulations |

| How a beautiful watch !! Congratulation !!
about diameter case, i agree with Guillaume, i wear an Omega seamaster diameter case 35 mm without the crown, and it's perfect, eternal.
apologises for mistakes, i'm not fluently !!
Regards. |
