A. | Bon soire ZEN, excuse my english, but my school french isn´t good. You´ve a Caliber EC, which is an early kind of movement. You can identify the older movement types of Charles Ami Barbezat-Baillot with this kind of big balance cock. ARNO: you´ve a combination with a calendar module 111, which is fixed onto the dial side of the movement. 3 different calendar modules exists but only in 2 sizes: 21 and 22"' For every Le Phare owner: http://de.geocities.com/vassiliadis2/Uhren/Le_Phare/le_phare.html If anybody have questions about this wonderful company, feel free to ask. Would be nice to help watch enthousiasts. Sending you my best regards (Avec mes meilleurs salutions) Antoine |

| Bon soir messieurs, hello everybody, like everyone started with watches, one day I met my favorite: Le Phare!
As an hobby historian I researched for informations about this company you couldn´t imagine. Books, magazines, pictures, watches, meetings, museums, message boards from the USA to Argentina - felt like a nice virus....
Sadly my homepage accept per hour approx.10-12 clicks. The history part is everytime edited in fact of leaned books of the university and meetings with some swiss museums or archives from Zenith or other watch companies. I´ve more historic informations but till before I did not met ZENITH at the 20th September, it´s not for sure with some details. Maybe some of you know that LE PHARE was sold to ZENITH in 1915 and later in 1922 they got rid of. Georges Perrenoud was the new owner as a kind of successor of Charles Barbezat-Baillot. Charles was against producing war parts and a genius inventor. Georges Perrenoud a succesful business man. Later he made a lot of money with the daughter company "Machines DIXI S.A." of LE PHARE.
In the most watch part books you´ll find mostly 3-4 movements and till now I´ve more than 56 different movement types observed. If you´ve something, might be an possible LE PHARE try to identify it at my project - Enjoy my collection!

"The Swiss jewelled ¼ repeater chronograph movement has a patent number 13244 which is dated to 18/11/1896 by Mr.Charles Barbezat-Baillot (Le Phare) is in good working order, the movement is wound and set with the crown, the repeater chimes are activated by pressing the button underneath 6 o’clock, the watch will then chime the hours and then every full quarter of an hour that has passed in that hour. The top button is for starting, stopping and resetting the centre second chronograph hand, all functions are working correctly." |

| Bon jour Jecko, well I´m in contact with this seller but unfortunately I haven´t got any response of the seller. As you can see at my homepage the caliber types differ with the digits like L, LC, LVC to LVCC. The more digits, the more complicated and more functions have a LE PHARE pocket watch. Prices depends: only by looking with pictures might be dangerous in price levels between 1-3.500,- Euros. Better to observe in your hands.
For your watch at Ebay the price will go high in fact of good condition. LE PHARE movements were chosen from many famous watch houses as AUDEMARS FRERES and frequently confused with INVICTA repeaters (the shape of their balance cock is the easiest way to identify them as non LE PAHRE). But attention: every movement from LE PHARE exists in mostly three different sizes: 19 1/2, 21 and 22"'. Some other chronographes in 17-19"' and all together in 2-3 condition quality like A or AA-quality (stones, geneva stripes). The better quality, the higher prices up to approx.18.000,- Euros! Hope that helps. Antoine |
